Hunny Joys – a take on an old classic I loved as a kid and now enjoy as an adult.
This recipe replaces butter with tahini and honey with rice malt syrup.
I’m not sure about you, but I grew up on these sweet, buttery and crunchy delights, and even into my adult years I continue to enjoy them using a slightly different, let’s say, more grown-up version.
and you know, I think I even prefer this version to the classic. I find when Tahini is sweetened, it dances on your tastebuds so beautifully.
The ease of this recipe means it’s a keeper for when you need a crunchy, chewy, nutty sweet treat.
Mix 1/2 cup tahini and rice malt syrup together in a bowl.
Add cornflakes and gently stir to combine, if your mixture is too dry add a touch more rice malt syrup
Scoop contents into patty cases and place in the oven for approx 10 mins until lightly toasted and serve.
